#hypertext and serendipity

My daughter is 14, and very curious about my college experience. We were discussing my new #DH306 class, and how it will work for us this term.

She asked me about my first assignment. I explained that I was to find a way to break something down to its elements and from them, build an artistic rendering.

She said she was learning about #breaking in a poetry unit in her English class. As an example she “recited” an e.e. cummings poem into my notebook, then she told me the significance of all the sculptural elements of the poem. Here’s a photo/recording of the recitation, #building up her brilliant illustration.
